Typically, the speed of the band saws ranges from 0.20 meters per second to 25 meters per second. In some specific cases such as customized band saw machines are designed for friction cutting of extra-hard metals that can run its band speeds around 76 meters per second.
In the metalworking sector, metal cutting bandsaw machine is often equipped with brushes or brush-wheels for the prevention of chip stuck in between the blade’s teeth.
