Spur gear reducers are gearboxes that utilize spur gear items as the primary driving devices that work the reducer operations. The JIS B 1702-1: 1998 cylindrical gears are the protocol often applied, and there are thirteen grades of gear accuracy spanning from zero to twelve in which zero means the highest grade of precision while grade means the lowest grade of the precision level.
The international level of gears is strict and rigid since all those gear items are used in many precision manufacturing processes. The thirteen levels of accuracy mentioned above are for the JIS B 1702-1: 1998, and now we are going beyond them. The other standard is JIS B 1702-2: 1998 cylindrical gears, which allows values of deviation related to the radial composite deviations and the run-out information are different.
