The difference between the CNC turning center and the CNC lathe is that the CNC turning centers are considered to be the more advanced forms of CNC lathes. Despite the fact that both machines will rotate a bar of material and let the cutting tool take out the unwanted parts of the material from the bar until the desired product is formed, the component of these two devices can vary. It is common for the lathes to be equipped with only 2 axis machines and equipped with just one spindle. On the other hand, the number of the axes for the turning centers can be up to 5 axes. In general, the turning center has the protective enclosure around the machine which the lathe does not possess, and it is also capable of achieving higher production than the lathe.
