CNC vertical turning center

A CNC vertical turning center is a type of vertical turning center which utilizes the system of Computer Numerical Control. The system of Computer Numerical Control uses the programmed instruction to process the materials with the intervention of the operator. It is also used to cut the metal in the process, such as cutting, sanding, deforming, and turning.

There are currently 7 billion people roaming on earth. Each of them required a safe place to shelter them and give them a sense of security. The demand for the house in the real estate industry never ends. As there are more and more people pouring into the city in search of job opportunities and sometimes a brand new start. However, it is not an easy job to build a house. It is actually an arduous task which can take months or in some case years to accomplish. To build a house, people will need a lot of different materials. People need the cement as the binder. The steel is used to serve as the structure of the building. And large stones are used to pave the way of entrance. Some of these materials such as the steels have to be processed before they can be applied to the house building. Fortunately, we got the CNC vertical turning center to do the task for us.

What Is a Vertical Turning Center?

So what is the CNC vertical turning center? To understand this, we have to first understand the vertical turning center. There are two types of turning centers, the horizontal turning center and the vertical turning center. They are both utilized in the cutting work of the materials. A vertical turning center can be viewed as a cross hybrid from the turning center and the vertical lathe. There are currently two main categories of vertical turning centers. The first one is the pick-up lathe. This is the type of vertical turning center which is used for the high volume components which are up to 300 millimeters in diameter. The chuck within the pick-up lathe is utilized for the process of picking up and leaving back on the transfer belt for the automatic production during the process of component handling. The other type of the vertical turning center is called the large vertical turning center. This is the type of turning center which is used for larger components, ranging from 300 millimeters to 800 millimeters. The larger vertical turning center also has the ability to let the pallet system allowing the components to be attached and unloaded while machining

What Is a CNC Vertical Turning Center?

Now that we understand what is the vertical turning center, it is not hard to explain what is the CNC vertical turning center. A CNC vertical turning center is a type of vertical turning center which utilizes the system of Computer Numerical Control. The system of Computer Numerical Control uses the programmed instruction to process the materials with the intervention of the operator. Just like the other type of the vertical turning center, the CNC vertical turning center is also used to cut the metal in the process, such as cutting, sanding, deforming, and turning.

CNC turning center

After understanding the function of the CNC vertical turning center, let’s discuss the concept of the CNC turning center. The CNC turning centers are the type of machine which are numerically controlled by the advanced computer. Within the CNC turning center, there are axes which can have in 3, 4, or even 5 axes. The CNC turning center also comes with a multitude of cutting capabilities, which include the process of milling, drilling, tapping, and turning. There is usually an enclosed setup which is mainly used to make sure any cut material, coolant, and components remain in the machine as desired. Since the turning center and the lathe machine have shared some similarities, they are often confused with one another.

The difference between the CNC turning center and the CNC lathe is that the CNC turning centers are considered to be the more advanced forms of CNC lathes. Despite the fact that both machines will rotate a bar of material and let the cutting tool take out the unwanted parts of the material from the bar until the desired product is formed, the component of these two devices can vary. It is common for the lathes to be equipped with only 2 axis machines and equipped with just one spindle. On the other hand, the number of the axes for the turning centers can be up to 5 axes. In general, the turning center has the protective enclosure around the machine which the lathe does not possess, and it is also capable of achieving higher production than the lathe.
