With this consideration, the invention of the die and mold cart was invented, which is a semi-automatic mechanism that onsite operators can use to accelerate the exchange time spent on mold and die changing. Moreover, as the progression of automation never ends, now there are fully developed automatic mold and die change systems promoted on the market that help people to change those heavy molds and dies without the help of manpower. Furthermore, for die casting, die casting is a metal casting process that is achieved by forcing molten metal into a mold/die cavity under high pressure, and is widely applied in industry due to its short cycle time production feature. The mold/die cavity is made and constructed using two hardened tool steel dies that have been machined into shape and that work similarly to an injection mold process. Generally, most die castings are made of non-ferrous metals, such as zinc, copper, aluminum, magnesium, lead, pewter and other specific alloys. Based on the type of metal being cast, hot or cold chamber machines are used. Casting equipment and metal dies represent significant capital costs, and the equipment tends to limit the process to high-volume manufacturing models. The production of parts using die casting is relatively simple and fast, involving only four main steps, and the mechanism keeps the incremental cost of each product at a low standard.
Almost all machineries are designed with electric motors, and with the rotating couplings and some corresponding objects are essential, such as gearboxes and spindles. The spindle is the rotational axis of the machine and is usually designed with a shaft at its center. The shaft itself isnamed a spindle, but it is also used in the market. The referring term (phrase) is often used metonymically to point at the entire rotating unit, including not only the shaft itself, but also its bearings and anything around (or attached to) to it (such as chuck, cylinder, etc.). From this point of view, the built-in spindle is one of the top-classed one that is self-motorized due to its electric-driven characteristics, and is designed with the power unit close with the spindle case box. The machine tool can be equipped with several different spindles, such as the headstock and tailstock spindle on a bench lathe, or the primary spindle and secondary spindle on a machining center. The main spindle is usually the largest spindle installed at the primary machining unit. In the market, references to "the spindle" without further qualification indicate the main spindle only. Some machine tools dedicated to mass production models have a set of four, five or even six more main spindles. These are called multi-spindle machine tools. For example, gang drills and many screw machines are multi-spindle machines that can process simultaneously with precise manner.
