As for the floor type boring machine, since the workpieces that are required to be machined cannot be held by the standard table on a boring machine, this machine would be set on the floor, which allows for the rotary table to be designed as large enough for holding the larger works and remain the rotary function at the same time.
In the precision machining fields, to attain the best performance of the machines, the faster operation time, the lesser energy consumption, and the better productivity, which have something to do with the enhancing of working efficiency, should be taken into serious consideration.
Therefore, the common method, which is to change the feature of the machine or the components that are contained on the machine, would be applied, and the adoption of a rotary table is one of the changes.
Furthermore, in order to accommodate the different targets that are supposed to be machined, this table can also be made as either standard or heavy duty type, which allow all the different workpieces that range from small to large sizes to be machined with the required efficiency and many other advantages.
As far as we know, the rotary tables can come in different sizes, and they can also be designed with some special forms, such as the tilt rotary table. However, no matter what sizes or forms the rotary tables are, there are some common reasons that explain why the rotary tables are used.
● Compatible with different cuts

Compared to the traditional milling machines or lathes, which require the transferring of workpieces or tools that they can complete the production, using a rotary table is a relatively time-saving choice.

● Higher efficiency

Expect other components that provide motion and perform the cuts on the compatible machine, the heavy duty rotary table is mainly formed of a base, a table, and the table top clamp.
The base is set under the table, which offers support for the table on above, and it allows the table to slide for the linear working orientation. With the increased size of the heavy duty table, the base under this table is made as larger than the standard kind as well.
Needless to say, the table on this type of device must be large, heavy, and sturdy enough to withstand the heavy duty workpieces. Besides, to turn this table and ensure the best performance of it, it is equipped with roller bearings that make the optimal function of this table.
● Table top clamp
In addition to the support under the table, the mechanism that helps firmly fix the workpieces when they are machined on the table also plays a vital role in the machining processes. For clamping the larger and heavier workpieces, there is a table top clamp that is separately mounted on the top of the table, which provides more support for these workpieces when the cutting works are conducted.
