Roofing Tile Roll Forming Machine Guide

What is a roofing tile roll forming machine?

A roofing tile roll forming machine, also known as a roof tile roll forming machine, is a cold roll forming machine that is specialized in producing roof tiles by means of the cold roll forming technique.

The roofing tile roll forming machine utilizes a series of rollers as the dies that fabricate the prototypes of the roofing tiles, with the stamping force that is given from the tile forming machine, to produce the roofing tiles that serve as the security and protection for the adopted houses.

The cold roll forming refers to gradually and continuously forming the metal profiles, which is to shape the workpieces without producing chips as in milling or drilling processes. This makes the products that are made own the optimal rigidity and stiffness, which prevents them from easily breaking after being used for a long time.

On the tops of the traditional houses, whether for the residential, industrial, or agricultural usage, there are always roofing tiles that have steps on the surfaces, and are placed on the inclines. These strong guards for the houses are made of the roofing tile roll forming machine, which is capable of dealing with roofing tiles with different sizes and materials, such as pre-painted steel, galvanized steel, or Aluminum, to name a few.

There are a variety of factors that determine the usefulness of the roofing tiles. In addition to the individual properties of the materials that are applied to manufacture, how accurate the steps are made on the roofing tiles, and how precise the final products are presented depending on the requirements should all be taken into account. The above factors all have something to do with the machine that produces them, which is the roofing tile roll forming machine.

With the roofing tile roll forming machine, which can be operated either manually or automatically, the precise forming processes can be ensured, and thus attain the requirements of the customers without problems.

What comprises a roofing tile roll forming machine?

A roofing tile roll forming machine has multiple working sections that makes a long operation line, which includes the uncoiler, the feeding guide, the roller forming section, the automatic tile forming section, the automatic cut off section, and the run out table.

● Uncoiler
Before the materials, which are the sheet metals, are formed as the roofing tiles, they are presented as coiled strips. In order to feed these materials into the machine, the uncoiler is required to allow the feeding guide to receive the workpieces perfectly with the transmission system.

● Feeding guide
The feeding guide can be recognized as the entry for the sheet metals to be fed into the machine, and prepared for being formed. There is an opening that is in combination with the transmission system, which guides the delivering of the sheet metals.

● Roller forming section
In this section, there are a series of rollers that are arranged in rows, which receives the sheet metals from the feeding guide, and forms the rolls on the roofing tile as the sheet metal is conveyed through it.

● Automatic tile forming section
The steps on the roofing tile are formed in this section. The steps are produced once the stamping force that is given from the upper side presses through the workpiece.

Furthermore, the source of the stamping force is from the hydraulic oil, which automatically transforms the hydraulic force to the kinetic force that drives the pressing tools slowly but steadily.

● Automatic cut off section
Once the rolls and steps are formed on the workpiece, the automatic cut off section does its duty that automatically cuts the workpiece off depending on the required length and size of the final product.

● Run out table
The run out table is where the final products, which are the roofing tiles, are placed. In some cases, this type of machine may be equipped with an automatic stacker that stacks the roofing tiles as a pile for the ease of packaging in the automatic operated form. In contrast, the stacking work is done by the operator in the manual operated form.

How does a roofing tile roll forming machine work?

Simply put, the processes of forming the roofing tiles can be recognized as the orders that the components are arranged, which can be divided into steps including uncoiling, forming, cutting, and stacking.

1. Uncoiling
First and foremost, prepare the materials with the unfolding of the sheet metals by the uncoiler, and then the sheet metal would be sent to the feeding guide.

2. Forming
This step contains the forming of the rolls and the steps respectively when the sheet metal is passed through the roller forming section and the automatic tile forming section.

3. Cutting
After the roofing tiles are made, the automatic cut off section would cut the sheet metal following the required length of the final products.

4. Stacking
Once the required length of the roofing tiles are cut off, they can be stacked either manually or automatically with the stacker, and allow the roofing tiles to be packaged afterwards.
