Sphere Lathe

Sphere lathe is a kind of machine tool usually used for woodworking purposes, and there are still some sphere lathes on the market that can meet the needs of metal processing. In the field of turning, a lathe machine is also called a turning machine. The processing of the sphere can be conducted on lathes. It is a machine tool that rotates a workpiece along a rotation axis to perform various machining operations, such as cutting, knurling, sanding, drilling, drilling, deformation, facing, and turning. These machinings are performed by tools applied to the workpiece to create objects that are symmetrical to the axis driven by the spindle.

Generally, turning machines are divided into two main types according to the way the workpiece is clamped, namely vertical lathes and horizontal lathes. The two are different from each other in the direction of the working phase, including chuck, spindle, turret, rotary table, etc.

In the vertical turning lathe, the workpiece is clamped vertically, and the cutting tool is also installed in the same direction so that the machining is performed vertically. Compared with horizontal lathes, this way of clamping is stronger due to the gravity effect. Manufacturers of vertical turning machines usually turn their machines into high precision and high-quality production equipment for various processing industries, which are used in the automotive industry, aerospace sector, sports equipment manufacturing, and other fields with larger workpieces.

Vertical Clamping Mechanism

Clamping the workpiece is an art of the entire process, and the machine operator decides how to handle it. In the vertical clamping mechanism, the lathe spindle is located behind the chuck. The spindle can be driven by a belt, or it can be designed as another type of drive mechanism. Like other milling machines and machining centers, turning lathes can also be equipped with power tools and tool magazines to improve their functionality and versatility, thus providing users with greater processing possibilities.

The power turret is a modern standard accessory for many CNC turning machines and one of the most important accessories for users of CNC lathes. Taiwanese suppliers aimed at this business and developed many excellent power turrets and power tools to support the needs of lathe users all over the world. Many of these power turrets are driven by a single motor with a servo feature, which can ensure the best machining results and save the best energy consumption. At the same time, they can also provide great rigidity and significantly extend on the workpiece, which achieves the expected processing quality.

Supportive Equipment as Accessories

In addition to power turrets, tool magazines and automatic tool changers (ATC) are the best selling products of global machine tool parts suppliers. The tool magazine and automatic tool change system can provide the optimal tool to tool time according to the customer's cycle time engineering to help customers meet order requirements. Excellent suppliers know how to provide customers with comprehensive services based on local conditions and upgrade the equipped machine tools and accessories to the latest version.

Spindles, chucks, and hydraulic cylinders have also been well developed in the industry. Together with CNC turning machines, a series of lathes and accessories are widely distributed in different industrial fields and applications around the world. Speaking of the heart of the machine, the spindle used with chuck and the hydraulic cylinder has also been well developed in the laboratory and has been well tested in the industry.

Together with CNC turning machines, there are a bunch of lathe and accessory products that are widely used in different industrial fields. At the same time, CNC horizontal lathes are of conventional design and have been developed and widely used for a century.
