Spring Load Tester Guide

Spring load tester is the load testing device that can do spring testing by the process of putting demands on the system and measure the corresponding response.

Spring load testers are also referred as spring testers in that the device can do a series of tests of the loads of the spring that is referred to as the spring testing. Spring testers are generally not big or huge, but often in small sizes for the convenience for operators. The purposes of the production of the spring testers are many, while both spring producers and spring users as manufacturers on their assembly lines are all in need of this devices in order to make sure the following working operation can go well without further unnecessary technical turbulences.

Spring Testers and Hyper-coil Springs

Hyper-coil springs are super strong springs that can withstand with strong outer forces with its hyper coil essence. The production process of hyper coil springs are like normal spring processing procedures, while the produced hyper coil springs are with special resilience and strong physical essences instead. Spring testers used to conduct the spring testing for the hyper coil springs are special and the design shall be suitable, because Hyper coil springs are super strong springs that can withstand strong outer forces with its hyper coil structure.

The production process of hyper coil springs are like normal spring processing, while the produced hyper coil springs are with special resilience and strong physical strength that need to be inspected with strict standards. Under this manufacturing circumstance, spring testers are much needed for the specific spring testing procedures.

General Spring Applications and Spring Testing

Under normal circumstances, all kinds of moving mechanical structures machines all need springs as their force transmission media. So spring manufacturers need to do spring testing before they deliver their products. The same principle also applies to mechanical manufacturers while they are installing the purchased springs unto their machineries with springs. Different mechanical conjoining points need different springing values, so the spring testing is not a ossified value but rather, a dynamic estimation.

For many industrial sectors such as automotive, motorcycle, sports, and 3C consumables, spring testing of the spring coiling is an important step because the spring component exists in nearly every aspect in the details. In the sector of spring production, a spring coiling machine is the machinery that produces coil springs, which are also known as a helical springs. They are normally made of an elastic metal materials formed into the shape of a helix which returns to its natural length when the unload actions are activated.

Spring Testing and Loading

Testing is so critical especially when the loading may be too heavy to the preset spring load. The precision and accuracy of springs affect directly the accuracy and precision of the installed machineries, realizing the machinery performance, so how and when to inspect the spring load become very sensitive to the production procedures. It cannot be too early nor too late, otherwise, would the ultimate performance not be known by the users by simply looking at the inspection tables. Coil springs’ testing help it to be checked for engineers to know whether the springs are able to be utilized as shock absorbers.

For the discussion of the mechanical mechanism, a shock absorber unit is also called a damper unit, which is a kind of mechanical or hydraulic equipment that is designed to absorb and damp the shock impulses. This small device can achieve this effort by converting the kinetic energy of the shock into another form of energy, and then this converted energy is then dissipated through natural process. Regarding the design of the shape of the coil springs, most shock absorbers are in a form of dashpot, and that is a damper which resists motion through viscous friction. The spring testing of them are conducted through specific procedures and steps.

In most cases, automotive shock absorbers are widely applied in the automotive and motorcycle industry as well as other transportation sectors to help drivers and riders handles the vehicles with better stability by forming a sensitive suspension system. They serve the purpose of limiting excessive suspension movement unto the load. Shock absorbers’ targeted purpose is to damp spring oscillation effects, and shock absorbers absorb excess energy from the springs. Speaking of the spring, the spring rates values are determined by the manufacturer based on the weight of the vehicle cases. The calculation, estimation, and inspection of springs are conducted with special devices.
