Fiber Cement Board Machine Guide

What is a fiber cement board machine?

A fiber cement board machine is actually a series of machine lines, which is used to produce fiber cement boards that are often seen in the materials of constructions where tiles are applied for building the interior as well as the exterior walls in a house, for example.

The fiber cement board machine is dedicated to make the fiber cement boards, in order to provide support for the tiles and prevent the mildew from being produced when the tiles come in contact with moisture. In other words, the products that this machine makes, which are the fiber cement boards, play vital roles in strengthening the structure of houses even in tough environments.

The formation of fiber cement boards is the process that strengthens the materials that are mostly made of fluids when transforming them into solid products. Since the materials that are used to make the fiber cement boards are cement, synthetic fibers, pulp, and water, which are fragile as individuals, while the products that are made would be strong and heavy after these materials are fused together.

To produce these significant components that can be found in the constructions, the fiber cement board machine line is required. With the processing of these materials along the line of the machine, including liquefying, solidifying, and drying, to name a few, strengthening the constructions is definitely expectable.

Where can fiber cement boards be used?

As far as we know, the fiber cement boards can be recognized as the important components in constructions. When there are requirements to build the framework of a house or building, where the ability of the walls to absorb moisture in whatever circumstances is vital, or to renew a house, where the structure has become fragile since being constructed, the fiber cement boards are the great choices for being the candidates of the available building materials.

What to prepare in the forming of fiber cement boards?

In addition to the materials that are required to form the fiber cement boards, there are some other devices to be prepared in the machine line, including the vats that allow for the mixing of pulp and water, a space for drained water, several cylindrical sieves for the forming of the films, an oven and autoclave for drying and hardening of the boards, and the pallets for stacking and transferring of the final products.

How does a fiber cement machine work?

To form the fiber cement boards, the materials include cement, synthetic fibers, pulp, and water should be prepared first, and they would travel to each station on the fiber cement machine line, and undergo the processes including liquefying, water draining, solidifying, drying, and stacking.

1. Liquefying
At first, the pulp would be dissolved into water in order to liquefy this mixture as slurry and hold the basic materials together to allow the mixture to be formed after the following processes.

2. Water draining
Since the water here is used as a medium for holding the materials together, it is not required when the fiber cement boards are made. Therefore, after the pulp is dissolved, it is required to get rid of the excessive water which is not in use.

The second step that the materials would undergo is water draining. This process is to remove most of the moisture from the slurry. After that, the slurry would become thick like oatmeal, so as to facilitate the solidifying process.

3. Solidifying
Then the slurry, which has the least moisture with high viscosity, would be fed into the machine line. There would be several cylindrical sieves that rotate in the slurry. After more water is drained out, the residue of the slurry would be solidified and formed as strips or sheets along the sieves.

During this process, the vacuum mechanism that is equipped on the machine line would suck more moisture from the solidified slurry, and the film would be transferred to the following stations.

4. Drying
As the moisture is removed from the solidified slurry, the film would be kept hardening. At that time, the heat would be released, in order to make the solidification and hardening of the materials even more stable.

There would be two kinds of equipment that are used in the drying process, including an oven and the autoclave. The former is mainly used for drying, and the latter is applied for hardening the final products.

5. Stacking
Once all of the above processes are done, the fiber cement boards would be stacked on the pallet, and divided into parts as is required. Then, the fiber cement board would be spaced apart, and colored with pigments depending on the requirements of the customers, and then these boards are ready to be packaged and sent to the customers.
