In both woodworking and metal working industries、a bevel cut refers to cut with sharp edges that are not perpendicular to the top of the wood or metal materials. This is a cut in a beveled curve、and is round in profile and has radius while the angle usually measured against a square-edge cut. In this definition、the blade is on an angle against the vertical plane、to know off the sharp edge of the work piece.
Besides、bevel cut machines also go by the names、such as incline cut、slope cut、angled cut、and slant cut. Many users of bevel cutting machine may confuse bevel cuts with double bevel cuts as well as miter cuts、but these two have a remarkable difference in between. To be precise、a miter cut is just cutting two pieces of material in angle before joining them but the angle is not 90 degrees.
